An admissions essay, sometimes referred to as a personal statement , or an admissions essay is a written article or statement by an applicant, typically a college applicant who wants to be admitted to a particular college or university. It is among the primary factors that could be considered when evaluating the college application of an applicant. A well written essay can bring a wide range of emotions to the viewer which will not be visible in a student's straight face. This is an introduction to the admissions essay.

There are many different styles of college admission essays. One of the most well-known types is known as the Top Ten Essay. The essay typically begins in a simple introduction sentence before moving to the main part of the essay. It starts with the student's name and the school they would like to attend. You can also add your hobbies and political views.

The other type of essay that is commonly used for college admissions essays is the Top College Application essay. The essay format is identical to the Top Ten style except that the title of the essay is now "My Name" instead of "My Interests". This gives the admissions committee an understanding of the student who is applying. The essay should usually include information on the student's academic background and their stats, the kinds of literature they may like, and possibly their personally related experiences.

One of the reasons students are encouraged to write their own essays is to show that they are different. The majority of college admissions essays are very standardized. These essays can contain only facts , and they may not be innovative or intriguing. On the other hand the majority of college admissions essays are written by students from all over the world. Another tip you must keep in mind when writing college admissions essays is to make sure you pick good topics for your essay. WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

When Chanda Mitchell told me that she was going to write a book on the 90% that women are missing out on from men, I was intrigued by the title, “What About the Other 90%?” I thought the title was extremely thought provoking and the question needed to be asked and addressed and answered and not by a man but by another woman who’s been living it out in real time.

In our society we desperately need women authors to rise up and speak to the heart of where their readers live through every day and bring answers to the table that make sense.
